Decentralized Assignment of Electric Vehicles at Charging Stations Based on Personalized Cost Functions and Distributed Ledger Technologies

In this article, we propose a stochastic decentralized algorithm to recommend the most convenient charging station (CS) plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) that need charging. particular, use different cost functions describe possibly priorities of PEV drivers, such as preference minimize costs, times, or distance between them and CS. For purpose, leverage on an Internet Things architecture based permissioned distributed ledger technology (DLT) enforce compliance drivers reduces occurrence detrimental misbehaviors drivers. Extensive simulations performed with mobility simulator SUMO in realistic city-wide networks have been provided illustrate how proposed assignment procedure works practice, validate its performance.
